Happy 14th to Jordyn!!
We had a little birthday eve dinner celebration last night since there was soccer practice tonight. Jordyn requested sushi so we had ourselves a sushi feast at Izumi. Afterward we came home for a some cake and presents. We decided to do the birthday stuff the night before so we could all be together, which was a good decision because this morning was a whirlwind of getting ready for school as usual. Jo did get some sugary treats for breakfast, a front yard surprise and cupcakes with her team after practice (I forgot to take a photo).
All-in-all a great day for our girl other than having to go to school.

I can't say enough about this beautiful girl. Beautiful inside and out. She is a friend to all, so kind and compassionate, she's patient, caring, so very funny, she has an amazing long ball, which makes for some beautiful corner kicks, she's a dedicated student, an incredible artist and a loving sister. She is all of this and more. We are so proud of you Jordyn and can't wait to see what your 14th year of life has to offer.
Update...
Here are a few photos of Jordyn and her friends from her birthday get together. Such a fun and lively group of girls!
Our plan for the evening was to go roller skating, but when we got to the rink they were closing for a roller derby competition. I know you are thinking...didn't you check the schedule?! Of course I did and NOTHING was said about the rink closing. I even bought admission tickets in advance. Thankfully after some back-and-forth we got a refund and headed back home for the girls to play games and hang out. The entertainment of the evening didn't go as planned, but these girls easily entertained themselves and had a great time.
