50 Days of Summer: Day 32

PARTY TIME x 9!! 

We celebrated Sydney's upcoming 9th birthday celebration with with else...a pool party. She had a nice little crew join her for the celebration and a fabulous time was had by all.

 Our beautiful almost NINE year old!

 She requested a Peace themed party. 

Friends started to arrive and got straight to swimming.

 After dinner and cake it was back to swimming. Bryan and Bryce gang up on Uncle Andy.

She showed that box to EVERYONE for the past week!! 

The suspense was killing her and here she is finally opening the gift.

 While the girls watched Sydney open gifts, 

Mr. Miles was ready to brave the pool since it was empty! 

Smart guy. :)

 She has been asking for one of these and I had no clue what it was. 

Good thing her friends know all that stuff!

You helped make Sydney's birthday extra special. 

**We discovered after the party that the music CD's that were in the goody bags don't work.  I'm going to make a few more and work on getting those out to everyone. Sydney was so disappointed when she went to play hers and it didn't work. Total bummer!

And now the count down is on until 

our little lady officially turns 9.

50 Days of Summer: Day 31

We helped celebrate Uncle Joey's birthday with a cookout and pool party. The kids stayed around for the first hour and then mom took them home. Before going home they helped sing Happy Birthday to Joey and gave him a few gifts. 

 I let the kids pick out gifts from Joey at the Dollar Store....they love that place. Bryce picked out a toy gun that lights up and makes noise. Jordyn picked out an apple scented candle and Sydney picked out a glass cube with an elephant etched on the inside. He loved his gifts. Somehow the gun ended up at our house. Ha!

Joey loves strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese frosting so naturally him dressed as Strawberry Shortcake made the perfect topper.

Bryan and I stayed at the party for a few hours longer to enjoy some fun sans kids. We enjoyed hanging out with everyone. We enjoyed delicious chicken wings that my dad brought over and then my brother grilled up some delicious burgers. We played some corn hole and then headed home.
