One of our favorite days of the year finally arrived. THE Last Day of School. Woohoo! Not sure who in Cherokee County thought going to school for 2 days after Memorial Day was a good idea, but none-the-less we made it through.
Bryce was the first one out the door for his last day of 4th grade. I almost kept him home because I knew they weren't doing anything on the last day, but he seemed pretty pumped about going for a day of fun.
First day August 2018 on the left and last day May 2019 on the right.
Next kid out the door is Sydney. Last 4 days of school for her were finals so they were all early release. She only had one final on the very last day so she was home by 10:00 am. Sydney is officially a JUNIOR!
First day August 2018 on the left and last day May 2019 on the right.
The last kiddo out the door is Jordyn. She had finals the last 3 days of school with the very last day being a half day. As you can see, our Jordyn had a big year for growing! I promise it's the same girl in both pictures.
After school Sydney headed to the lake with her besties for their traditional last day of school on the lake. That left Jordyn to help me ambush Bryce with silly string when he got off the bus. I think next year I'm ditching the silly string and just going for water guns and balloons because the silly string was a pain to clean up. We still have some stuck to our driveway and sidewalk!
Our summer schedule is pretty relaxed. We are so busy throughout the year that I don't plan much in the summer. Sydney is currently taking her Joshua's Law driving class (takes up the whole week) and the girls are volunteering at Safety Town the 3rd week of June. Bryce has a 3v3 tournament on June 21st that is really more of a just for fun type deal. We have some family workouts planned and of course soccer workouts to keep up skills and endurance, but other than that we have a lot of family time, pool time and relaxing time on the books. I'm looking forward to soaking up as much time with my babes as I can. These moments are fleeting and with Sydney in the last 2 years of high school you best believe I want to make the most of my time with my "littles".
