I would like to wish my dad a very happy 70th birthday today!
We threw a surprise birthday party for him the last weekend of July and the party went off without a hitch. Dad was VERY surprised. He was actually speechless for a minute as he panned the crowed standing before him. We kept the party pretty low key with just family and the best neighbors around. Dad was truly touched that so many came to celebrate him.
Had to post this. Joey smiling...it's a rare occurrence!
I LOVE this photo of my dad and his sister, Carole.
Hugging Ms. Glover. I wish I had taken a photo of them together so you can see both their faces. Ms. Glover has lived in the house across the street from the Smyrna house for as long as I can remember. She is the sweetest lady and a very dear friend to our family.
FUN FACT: She was also one of my 7th grade teachers at East Cobb!
Dad hugging his sister Patti! He was so surprised to have her along with her boys and their families at the party.
Look how cute my cousin Wes and his lovely bride Karen are.
If there is one thing I can say about my family is we don't mess around when it comes to desserts. When you turn 70, you get the works! Home made banana pudding, coconut cake, strawberry and chocolate fudge cake. Delicious!!
I love this! Dad with his sisters.
Group Shot!
I got my old man a shoe horn and a huge bag of York Peppermint Patties.
Everyone needs a gun shaped ketchup bottle.
Dad was tickled by Ms. Glover's gift.
Seventy one dollar bills!
Pop with his favorite girls.
Family girls.
I love my sweet and funny daddy. And I love that he has his hand on his hip too.
Pop with his favorite boy.
Looking good dad!
Happy happy 70th birthday!
