Thirteen.

Thirteen. 

That's how many years Bryan and I have been in the parenting game as of TODAY. 

Happy 13th Birthday Sydney!!

  Well...not officially until 2:55 this afternoon, but none-the-less we are now the proud parents of a TEENAGER! I know it's so cliche' to say, but we got here so fast. Like scary fast. 

July 3, 2003 at 2:55 pm our sweet Sydney Faith came into our lives and made our lives better.

 

Simply stated: Sydney is awesome. Seriously y'all she is one cool chick. She is smart and creative. She is a very loyal friend. She has a great sense of humor and is a big goof ball, which I absolutely love about her. She is tough in the many different ways one can be tough. She loves playing soccer and works so hard when she is on the field, but what makes me over the top proud is her positive attitude and how supportive she is of her teammates. I love this girl so BIG and I love the relationship that we have. I know big changes are coming our way over the next several years and I pray that Sydney and I as mother and daughter can show each other grace and understanding as we navigate all this together. I'm scared and excited all at the same time!!

And my gorgeous girl now...

We're heading to the pool this afternoon to celebrate our girl. She had a party last night with her friends, which was a blast. I'll post those pictures soon, but now I'm off to wake up my teenager so we can get to church.
