Well...in less than a month it has snowed twice in Georgia.
Crazy.
I know to some of y'all this may not be a big deal, but to us folks in the South...it's a huge deal.
It's no secret that I have a major dislike for winter. I hate being cold. I'm not a very big person so maybe that has something to do with it, but regardless...I hate being cold. It's uncomfortable and it hurts! So, it goes without saying that I seriously hate snow.
I will say that the scenery outside is beautiful and the snow makes for lovely pictures, but aside from that I don't see any positives.
Cold and wet...no thanks.

I bundled up early this am to get photos of the house before we played in the snow.
These rain boots have really come in handy lately.
Thanks Amy!
This morning we woke up to 5 - 6 inches of snow in our neck of the woods. Major snow fall for Georgia, which means pretty much everything is shut down. No complaints...an extra day to stay at home with the fam is a nice treat. We took the kids out late morning for some promised play in the snow time. Bryce had a really hard time waking. His little legs could barely move and he spent most of the time falling down and rolling around.
Within minutes he was completely soaked.
Note that since we live in the South, we do not own any snow type clothing.
The girls had fun making snow balls and trying to run as fast as they could in the thick snow, which of course resulted in them falling down. We attempted some sledding, but it just didn't work for us.
Watching Boss in the snow was hilarious. I wish I had filmed him trying to run in the thick snow. He looked like a cat with tape on it's paws. We all got a good laugh watching him "run" around the yard.
We lasted outside for about 20 mins (took us longer to get ready to go out than that!). I was expecting some protest about going in, but everyone happily agreed. So after some self family portraits (got to use my tri-pod) we headed inside for lunch and an afternoon of games and movies.
I'm betting we get another snow day tomorrow!!

Love the great pics! Your house is beautiful. I am with you on that one about this "snow snuff". I really cannot stand it. I am always cold...even if it is warm outside so snow doesn't mix well with me either. Looks like the kiddos had some fun though!
Have to agree with Sandy, your house IS beautiful!!!
Lovely pictures of you all. I actually love snow but after what felt like a mini ice age here in England, i'm glad to see the back of it for a while. I like to have feeling in my fingers and toes every once in a while!
xxx
I hate snow too, and I live in Wyoming! There is a joke here that we have two seasons, winter and road construction season.
