Skating Filled Saturday!

This past Saturday (2/20/10) Sydney went to a skating birthday party. She has only been skating maybe 3 or 4 times prior to this party. She did soooo good! She picked it up quickly, so quickly that we ended up loosening up her wheels so she could roll faster. Here is a video of Sydney BEFORE we loosened her wheels. I'm bummed I didn't remember to get one of her from the end of the night when she was zipping around the floor.

After the skating party we went home for some dinner and then headed out to the skating rink yet again. I had a skating reunion with the old Roswell Roller Rink crew. Sydney skated for 2 hours straight. Bryan ended up running her home because we knew she was tired although she would beg to differ. She didn't want to leave!! I'm so proud of how well she did. It must be one of those 'it's in your gene" type deals. ;)

I had a blast catching up with some of my old skating friends. I think there were about 120 people there total. It's amazing to see how the group has grown over the years as so many of us are married and have families. It's so nice to see and hear what everyone has been up too. We are planning on another get together in June and I'm hoping to see even more then.
